The White House – An Example of American Exceptionalism

When George H.W. Bush was ushered into office in January, 1989, he invited some 200 family members in with him to celebrate his first day. One was struck by the size and immense loyalty of his extended family. Whilst that was my first of many visits to the White House, the excitement never waned. The White House is living American History. It’s stories are part and parcel of that which we mean when we talk about American Exceptionalism.
